Special Needs Mothers Need Special Help

It is evident from SARS statistics that many parents of special needs children are either not claiming tax relief from SARS or not claiming as much as they could There are a few reasons why this situation exists.

For instance, as a grandmother of a special needs child, I watched helplessly as my daughter struggled with the many costs of caring for her son because we did not realise that she qualified for a tax credit through the SARS Disability Tax Refund system.
And many people do not know that there are multiple legal ways of claiming a tax credit on the heavy expenses involved in caring for special needs children.

As soon as I discovered this some six years ago, I started Let Us Assist in order to help special needs parents to not only claim the rebate but to claim as much as possible

Our knowledge of the Disability Tax Regulations and experience gained over this period has shown us how to maximize claims and has made a huge difference to what our clients have received from SARS as a refund

Our system is broken into stages.

1.     The very first thing we do is ask to see a recent copy of your IRP5.
We need to verify that you have paid tax.

2.     Once we have a copy of this document, we will need to confirm that you are registered with SARS as an E-filer. If you are not – we will assist you every step of the way in doing this.

3.     Next, you will need an ITR-DD form. We will send you a copy of this form and explain exactly what you need to fill in and what your doctor needs to fill in.

4.     When we have a copy of this document on file, we will phone and consult with you, making sure you are aware of the many types of expenses you may have had and checking that every possible expense item has been discussed and covered.

5.     We then prepare for an audit – which you will probably have if you are to be paid a refund. This necessitates us checking and filing every invoice, receipt and statement that will be needed.

6.     We submit your tax return on time to SARS.

You will have complete access to your Tax File throughout the process.
You may contact us at any time if you have any queries at all.
SARS may ask for additional documents and we will supply these.
Once we have been informed that the process is complete, only then will we send you our invoice fee, which is due once the funds are in your bank account.
The complete process normally takes 21 working days from receipt of the IRP5

Now that you know how we can help,
complete the form
and let’s claim Your Tax Refund
